Rahmi Koç Museum overlooking the Golden Horn in the Hasköy area in Beyoğlu district of Istanbul, is right next to Halıcıoğlu Park. The historical building, which attracts attention with its foundations dating back to the 12th century, small domes at its corners, wooden furnishing and arched passages, is based on a wide exhibition, especially the collection of the well-known business person Rahmi Koç.
Rahmi Koç Museum, which was awarded the Museum of the Year by the Council of Europe in 1996, has a rich collection centered on industrial tools. Exhibitions on topics such as aviation, steam engines, transportation, and scientific equipment can be seen under the theme of the Industrial Age. In the museum, which hosts almost everything imaginable in terms of mechanics, a wide range of diversity can be explored from ship bridges to aircrafts, from toy cars to real cars. The old cars are worth seeing. The planes in the museum garden can be a very good subject for you if you are a photographer. In the museum, where children can also visit with interest, you can also eat at the luxury restaurants in the annex building. Rahmi Koç Museum is open to visitors every day of the week except Monday.
