Are you ready to meet the famous Aynalı Bazaar which is the subject of folk songs and whose name is mentioned in the books? Aynalı Bazaar, the symbol of Çanakkale, with more than 130 years of history, still stands today and offers a pleasant shopping experience. Close to 60 shops in the historical Bazaar, clothing, household goods, home textiles and gifts weight. The shops where figures and models of the Çanakkale can be seen and bought also attract attention. The building was built by of Ottoman Merchant of Jewish descent during the reign of II. Abdulhamid. It is projected in a similar shape to the Egyptian Bazaar in Istanbul. The building, which was used as a barn during the Gallipoli campaign, served as a fruit and vegetable marketplace for a period following the establishment of the Republic of Turkey. Then slowly it returns its former form. The mirrors placed in the post-war, meanwhile, contain an emphasis on the origin of the name. In this context, the historic Mirrored Bazaar, which underwent an extensive restoration in 2014, re-lives its old authentic identity today.
