Yahşi Beach

As Muğla is one of the most important points of summer tourism, there are many alternatives to the beach in the city. Ortakent is considered as a very attractive place in this sense. ‘Ortakent’, a town within the boundaries of Bodrum, has a public beach of the same name. This beach is sometimes referred as ‘Yahşi Beach'.

Yahşi Beach, which has a certain quality standard like the nearby Blue Flag beaches, is suitable for people of all ages with its clean water and wide area as well as easy access. Although domestic and foreign tourists flock to the area throughout the summer, the beach and its surroundings largely manage to stay clean.

Ortakent is located in the western part of Bodrum Peninsula. This wonderful beach of Ortakent, which is one of the most preferred resorts in Bodrum, is increasing in popularity. Yahşi beach or Ortakent Beach, which offers a unique view in the middle of the azure sea and tangerine gardens, is a distance of around 12 kilometers from the center of Bodrum. Minibuses that will take you to the beach area depart from Bodrum district center. Yahşi Beach has its most crowded period in August. May and July are usually the right choice to come here for this reason. Interest in the beach continues until mid-October.

The total beach length of Yahşi Beach is around 2 kilometers. It is the beach with the longest beach in the area except for Bitez. The public beach occupies approximately 200 meters of this large area. Within the beach you can always see people interested in various water sports. If you wish, you can train for these activities during certain periods. The special trainers here will develop your skills about many water sports, especially windsurfing and diving. The beach is usually composed of fine sand.
