Çiğli Egekent Central Mosque

Çiğli Egekent Merkez Mosque is one of the most beautiful mosques not only in Izmir but also in all of Turkey. This holy building, which stands out with its architecture reminiscent of the Taj Mahal, is admired not only by the residents of the neighborhood, but also by almost every tourist going to İzmir.

Çiğli Egekent Merkez Mosque, which is included in the list of "The most beautiful mosques in Turkey", has a capacity of approximately 2 thousand people. The mosque, which was started to be built in 1992, was opened for worship in 2000 and has been one of the most visited mosques in İzmir since then.

The black color weight of the mosque, which is not usually used to see, adds a modern and more aesthetic atmosphere to it. In addition, its three domes inspired by the Taj Mahal and its two thin and tall minarets, which look like a symbol of elegance, are quite dazzling.
