The Hababam Class Museum is dedicated to the Hababam Class series, a significant work in Turkish cinema directed by Ertem Eğilmez between 1975 and 1978. Set up in a room within the Adile Sultan Pavilion, this museum continues to celebrate the star-studded cast of Yeşilçam and the humorous scenes from the film. Inside the museum, the film’s unforgettable characters are brought to life through wax statues, and iconic scenes are immortalized with recreations. Notably, characters like Güdük Necmi, İnek Şaban, and Hafize Ana are among the most popular figures in the museum.

What Can You See at the Hababam Class Museum?

The Hababam Class Museum offers a rich display within a single room. At the entrance, you’ll see a recreation of the scene where Güdük Necmi is caught cheating by Mahmut Hoca while hiding in a stove. Nearby, wax statues of characters such as Hafize Ana draw attention. There is also a dedicated section for İnek Şaban, whose wax statue is displayed sitting in his iconic seat from the film. The walls feature humorous quotes, film posters, and production photos. On the left side, you’ll find a chalkboard frequently used in the film, an old wooden easel, and the broken chair used in one of the pranks on teachers.

About the Hababam Class Film Series

Hababam Class was adapted to the screen by Ertem Eğilmez in 1975. The first film is based on Rıfat Ilgaz's characters, but with Eğilmez’s and the screenwriters’ contributions, these characters became iconic in Turkish cinema. After the initial film, new characters and plots were added to the series, resulting in four films between 1975 and 1978:

🎬 Hababam Class, Premiered: April 1, 1975

🎬 Hababam Class Repeats the Year, Premiered: January 1, 1976

🎬 Hababam Class Awakens, Premiered: November 20, 1976

🎬 Hababam Class on Vacation, Premiered: March 1, 1978

Each film presents viewers with entertaining scenes that also deliver social messages. Memorable characters like Kemal Sunal’s “İnek Şaban,” Münir Özkul’s “Mahmut Hoca,” and Adile Naşit’s “Hafize Ana” have left an indelible mark on cinema history. The Hababam Class series holds a special place in Turkish comedy culture and continues to be cherished by audiences.
