One of the most well-known historical buildings in Edirne is undoubtedly the Muradiye Mosque. It is located in the Muradiye Complex, whose remains are not found today. As one of the main elements of the complex, Muradiye Mosque has maintained its function with the interest of the community in its region, although the need for the complex structures in its entirety has disappeared over time.
The mosque, which was built between 1435 and 1436 as an inscription on its door, is still standing and open to worship today, even after centuries. It has a plan of religious education lodges such as the Yakub Çelebi Zaviyesi and Mausoleum in Iznik and the Karacabey mosque in Ankara, as well as tabhouses and İslamic Monastry where Ottoman religious people welcome their guests. It has two domes on two axes and one dome on its sides. Muradiye mosque also consists of the section and minaret defined as the last communion place between the courtyard and the mosque.
In the mosque, which stands out with its marble Crown door, the windows, the main place of worship, which is very well lit, and the dense decorations on its interior, despite its simplicity on the exterior, can be shown among its prominent details. It offers a visually rich interior with tiles and fine motif decorations (kalem işi-pencil work).
