The Center, which is owned by Çanakkale, one of the eminent cities in the west of Turkey, with the majority of its historical monuments reflecting our past and shining a light on the future, welcomes visitors with the most beautiful examples of Ottoman architecture. In this context, one of the buildings of spiritual importance that is located in the location that presents art and history together is Yalı Mosque.
Yalı Mosque, which has a square plan, stands out with its tile roof. Its bricks also point to the characteristic visualness of the historic structure. Only the repair inscription has survived from the mosque, whose only minaret is present. This inscription records that it was renewed in 1854 by the efforts of Miralay Halil Bey. The repair records indicate that the first mosque was destroyed by a fire and was built for the second time.
The Yalı Mosque has a plain and far from ostentatious appearance. It is in the form of a plain Ottoman Mosque with its windows, doors, roofs and walls. As with most Ottoman Mosques, there is a hazire (forbidden area surrounded with fences) next to it in its courtyard. Numerous tombstones are located here.
