Kanispi Waterfall

Kanispi Waterfall

We will discover a waterfall that turns milky white while it flows… Kanispi Waterfall, which takes its name from its color and means white, also reflects the unique beauty of nature. There is "Seeing the Other in Water" in Sufi literature. Water is defined as the mirror of those who want to find themselves. With its clarity, water becomes the mirror of the human being, and it is also a guide for those who cannot find what they are looking for in their search for themselves. Calm water relaxes, activates enthusiasm and energizes. Water is the symbol of life and existence, and the person finds himself in him… Kanispi Waterfall, which is 75 kilometers from the city and five kilometers from the center of Çatak, on the Van-Çatak road, begins to flow very strongly at the end of April. The waterfall, whose flow intensity decreases in late August, ends completely in September. The area around Kanispi Waterfall, which is also a recreation area, also has trout facilities that offer feasts to its visitors. This place, where it is even possible to buy live trout, is flooded by tourists every year. The magnificent view that the waterfall creates during the periods when the current is stronger fascinates all visitors.
