Zağnos Valley Park

Zağnos Valley Park

Located on the foot of Trabzon Castle Zağnos Basiton, Zağnos Valley Park comes across as a large and beautifully arranged park in the heart of the city. Fatih Sultan Mehmet conquered Istanbul in 1453 and Trabzon in 1461, Zağnos Pasha assumed important roles in these conquests while conquering. Zağnos Pasha (Zağanos), one of the pasha of Fatih Sultan Mehmet, the conqueror of Trabzon, served as the principal of Trabzon Sancak between 1467-1469. The name of Vadi Park also comes from respect for the memory of the pasha. Zağnos Valley Park, which was created by purging construction through urban transformation works, has a structure that allows you to have a good time with the family. Inside the park there is a viaduct belonging to Zağnos Bridge and Yavuz Sultan Selim Boulevard. There are even ponds and streams in the space, which spread on a very long and large area! On your trip to the park you can see ducks swimming in the water with pleasure, and you can encounter a rabbit running from right and left. Not without drinking tea in Trabzon... You can drink your tea in Zağnos Valley Park or have sip in tea gardens in the hills overlooking the valley next to Trabzon Castle. You can have a picnic and walk in the park and take pictures.
