The mansion, which covers quite and large area, consists of two sections: harems and selamlık. The structure was later used as the City Theatre by the 1940s. The mansion, which underwent restoration work by the Governorship of Sanliurfa, has been serving as the Museum of Salvation since 2009.
On April 11, 1919, the city of Urfa, which survived the French occupation by inflicting many losses, received the title of 'Glorious' after its struggle. The museum, which describes all the occupation and liberation struggles in the city, depicts the victory to the visitors with determination in the difficult conditions of that day.
