One of the most magnificent works of Şanlıurfa the city of the prophet is the Hasan Sultan Mosque, which is rumored to have been founded immediately after the deluge of Noah and is the zero point of time with its thousands of years of history. Built in the 15th century by Long Hasan, Sultan of Bayındiriye state called Akkoyunlu, Hasan Sultan Mosque, which bears its own name, has undergoes many restorations to date. Since each repair is done with a disdain for its original ity, the mosque, which preserves its first-day appearance and grandeur, also sheds light on the 15th century Turkish architectural style with its one balcony minaret north of its courtyard.
