The Milas Museum is located in the Milas district of Mugla, which is an important center of attraction with its historical and tourist values in southwest Turkey, and is one of the city's small but important cultural values. The cute museum is located on Inönü Street, the busiest part of the district, close to Hekatomnos Mausoleum and the historical city bath.
The collection, which was first started to be brought together in 1983, is based on the fact that it was opened to visitors in 1987 and brought together with large masses. The museum, which welcomes you with marble works in its garden, has a systematic interior designed in chronological order. The artifacts in the museum, where objects unearthed during excavations in Milas and the surrounding area are displayed, were additionally compiled through purchases and donations. As a natural result of this situation, diversity is relatively high.
The polished Stone Age-Roman finds at the Milas Museum, which offers free access and offers a pleasant sightseeing experience with pleasant lighting elements, are remarkable.
