Estel Inn, which has not lost its function since the early ages, is now used as both a public house and a museum.
Estel Inn, a work from the early ages in Midyat district of Mardin, was renovated by Midyat Municipality in 2006 and opened to the public service. The inn, which is all stoned, also has a section where traditional tools and clothes are used by the city's residents exhibiting. The Estel Inn, which is in the form of a folk house that also giving education in the subject of health, environment, literacy and women's rights, is frequented by many tourists with its architectural beauty and functions.
Various exhibitions have been held since its repair at the Estel Inn. In these exhibitions, which are organized to develop the cultural richness of the people of the city and to show the antiques of Anatolia to the tourists who come, antique works are also being sold. These exhibitions, which contain handmade silver jewelry and items, especially decorated with local motifs, are of a lot of attention in Midyat.
This work, which has survived from the early times in Mardin, which has made people journey to the past with its stone structures and narrow streets, which arouses the perception that time freezes, is of great importance for the city's cultural tourism.
