Menuçehr Mosque, which is one of the fingerprints of the Seljuk State in Anatolia, impresses with its old history from the Battle of Manzikert. Seljuk State under the rule of Alparslan, who made great efforts to pass to Anatolian lands, first set foot in Kars. Alparslan, who entered the city of Ani, which was once the commercial center of the Silk Road, left the administration of the city to the Şeddatlı Principality after the conquest. The people, who started to live under the rule of the first ruler of the Şeddats, Ebul Manuçehr, began to be ruled by his son when he passed away. Ebul Muammeran, who carried out architectural works in order to leave a Seljuk mark on Ani, had the mosque built at this time. The minaret of the mosque, which is located in the ancient city of Ani, succumbed to time. For this reason, it is called the Yıkık Minaret or Bozminareli Mosque in the following periods. Even the collapsed state of the building on the road between Aslan Gate and Kars Gate is magnificent and worth seeing. Menuçehr Mosque, which is one of the most important religious building examples of the Seljuk heritage from the 11th century, has a very important place in the city's cultural and religious tourism. Finally, it should be noted that the Menuçehr Mosque is considered the first Turkish mosque in Anatolia.
