Kars Museum

The museum, which has hosted countless civilizations and cultures in its thousands of years, showcases the most valuable archaeological and ethnographic works of Kars, giving history enthusiasts an unforgettable experience. The museum building, built in 1978 in the station neighborhood, is the point of display of historical monuments, especially from the Ancient City of Ani. The museum, which bears traces from almost every civilization from the Palaeolithic to the Bronze Age, urartion period to Byzantines, is the show center of all the players who have managed to take part in and reach the history scene. In the Ethnography section, many works from clothing samples to local weaving instruments are exhibited from clothing samples of cultures and civilizations, which are jaw-dropping with their diversity. The museum's most interesting work with its large collection is the wagon belonging to Kazim Karabekir Pasha. This wagon is a gift to Pasha of the Russian generals who came to the city on October 13, 1921 to make the Kars Agreement. Just as Kars Archaeological and Ethnography Museum is one of kars's symbols, the wagon, which is designed and displayed in accordance with its first day's use, is also the symbol of the museum.
