Located close to the Ani Walls within Kars borders for more than a thousand years, the Church of Abughamrents (Polatoğlu) is among the city's standout historical values. Built on a plateau in the 10th century by The Armenian Prince Pahlavuni, the church stands out for its cylindrical design, supported by columns beneath its conical dome. The Church of Abughamrents (Polatoğlu), which has relatively small dimensions, has one entrance and has a window in every corner that allows strong indoor lighting. An architecturally motivated thought of the church, which has been in good condition in general, including its restored dome in recent years, may have been used in the form of a mausoleum... It is also known that various tombs are buried around it. Ani Ruins Place, a real cultural point, and The Abughamrents (Polatoğlu) Church are also ideal for your list of must-see.
