When you head to the westernmost part of Istanbul's southern coastline, you'll come to Silivri. Besides the relatively calm waters of the Marmara Sea, Silivri port is the most popular destination of the district. The walkway along the coast is full of family members and friends who walk side by side any time during the day. You can see people sitting on benches, enjoying the sea view and taking pictures on the Silivri Coast, which is becoming more lively with the increasing population of the region in the summer months.
The port, where boats and small boats are lined up side by side, is surrounded by various activity and flavor stops. Fish restaurants near the port are especially busy during the evening hours. You can enjoy fresh fish at the restaurants, where you can see queues at weekends. There are also fish seller shops here.
Surrounded by palm trees, one of the focal points of evening walks is the bazaar. In the summertime, you can shop in different concepts such as jewelry, ornaments, food, clothes, household goods, street delicacies, and many more at side-by-side stalls that open every evening.
Silivri was used to be a resort region before, but today it is a constantly developing district with a dense population of four seasons. Close to the Port of Silivri, where you can find many patisserie and cafes, there is also a famous ice cream shop, which is open only in summer.
