The historical Ragıp Sarıca Pasha Mansion is one of the symbols of Caddebostan district in Kadıköy. Kadıköy is one of the densely populated and old districts of the Anatolian Side of Istanbul. The mansion was built in 1906 by Ragıp Sarica Pasha, one of the important architects who lived in the last period of the Ottoman Empire. After the Pasha's death in 1920, his daughters lived in the mansion for more than 15 years.
The mansion was sold for the first time in 1936. It has changed owners many times since the 1960s. The historical mansion is famous for hosting renowned names like businessman Vehbi Koç and painter and writer Abidin Dino as its tenants.
The four-storey mansion, which has recently entered the market again, is located on 8,500 square meters of land. There are many rooms and halls in the historical building, which is surrounded by a lot of land. Ragıp Sarıca Pasha Mansion, also called a “little palace” is one of the symbols of the district and stands out with its large garden and architectural features.
The decorations on the wooden ceilings, the fine workmanship that has spread to every square meter, the use of luxury materials, special marbles brought from Italy and Austrian parquets attract attention. The building, where two mansions were combined, has been restored at various dates, but has carried its glory to this day.
The mansion resembles a castle with its large halls, colored glass, engraved iron door and magnificent clock tower. The white mansion, decorated with oak trees on both sides, resembles a little palace, although it has changed a bit due to road works and some arrangements, it preserves its fascinating beauty.
