Memet Naci Aköz Kite Museum

Memet Naci Aköz Kite Museum, located in Üsküdar district of İstanbul Anatolian Side, is the only kite museum of Turkey. In the museum established by Memet Naci Aköz who is also chairman of İstanbul Kite Makers Association, there is a collection attracting attention containing parts over 2.500 collected from six continents and 33 countries.

The museum containing a striking collection with kites garnishing deep blue sky especially in summer months, was prepared suitable with Children-Friendly Museum Project of T.R. Ministry of Culture. In the museum be rushed into by visitors those are also adult ones as much as children, the courses are given for the ones who want to make their own kites.

Kite Museum located on Bakıcılar street on Uncular Avenue of Üsküdar district, is active on a 500 square meter area in total. There are two different museum hall and three different workshops in the museum. In the museum where visitors are accepted above three years old, presentations are made accompanying with seperate stories about each collection, historical information and visuals.
