Museum of Innocence

It was the happiest moment of my life, I didn't know...
If we had known, maybe we wouldn't have missed it :) But isn't life a spiral of emotions consisting of 'moments'? That's why we, as the GeziBilen team, have a nice offer for you, let's give ourselves a nice day today. Let everything we do today be for ourselves.
That's why we are now in front of a 19th century house created in 2012 by author Orhan Pamuk, based on his 2008 work of the same name, at the Museum of Innocence in Çukucuma, Istanbul.
The hopeless love novel, which takes place between 1974 and the early 2000s, tells the story of Istanbul life through flashbacks and memories through two families, one rich and the other middle-class. The Museum of Innocence, which consists of the visits Kemal Basmacı, the hero of the novel, makes to his love Füsun's house and the objects he collects during those visits, is featured in the novel as the house where Füsun and her family live. In the museum, which has eighty-three wooden display cases corresponding to eighty-three chapters of the book, the things that the characters use, wear, hear, see, collect and dream of are exhibited in these carefully arranged boxes and display cases.
There is no need to read the novel to enjoy the museum. Just as there is no need to visit the museum to enjoy the novel. However, those who read the novel will understand the meaning of the museum better, and those who visit the museum will see many things they did not notice while reading the novel. Author Pamuk stated that he started collecting the museum's first items before he started writing the novel and that he wrote the novel by looking at these items.
The restoration of the building, which was purchased by Orhan Pamuk years ago, was carried out by Turkish architects İhsan Bilgin, Cem Yücel and German architect Gregor Sunder-Plassmann. The museum entrance ticket and the map of the museum's location are included on page 574 of the book.
The Museum of Innocence is the first museum created based on the fictional universe of a novel and received the European Museum of the Year Award on May 17, 2014.
The book begins and ends with two opposite sentences containing the word happiness, isn't it like life?
