Maçka Vocational and Technical Anatolian High School

Maçka quarter of Şişli district of Istanbul attracts attention with its abundance of historical buildings. One of the prominent buildings at this point is the highly sophisticated building of Maçka Vocational High School designed with Italian architecture.

It offers an educational function for the first time under the name of "Maçka Art Institute" at the end of the 1950s after being incomplete for many years for the opening of the Italian Embassy. In the following years, it was used first as a high school and teacher school, then as a technician school. At the end of the process that continued with different names in the following years, it serves with the name "Istanbul Maçka Akif Tuncel Technical and Industrial Vocational High School" in 1988 and today "Maçka Vocational and Technical Anatolian High School".

The building on the road from Maçka to Vali Konağı Street, one of the symbols of Nişantaşı, is dazzling with its architectural details. It stands out with its decorations and detailed craftsmanship. It is taught in modern classrooms in its interior in a classic school form. The historical school, which draws attention with its garden, is one of the oldest and most respected high schools in Istanbul.
