Kumbaba Beach

Many beaches in Şile District in Istanbul which are peaceful and modest on the shore of Black Sea are the centres of attraction during summer months. As one of these outstanding beaches, Kumbaba Beach is a preferred destination for its intense flora and social facilities.

Kumbaba Beach is a well-known place with a history of thousands of years. It is known that during the Byzantium period, the people with health problems such as rheumatism came there and had a sand bath. Known for its clean sea and very fine and golden sand, Kumbaba Beach is accessible with an entrance fee. The entrance fee is quite reasonable. When the sea is wavy, you should be careful, and if you don't know how to swim, you should not get in the sea.

The beach offers touristic hostels and hotels and is 10 minutes away from Şile city centrum. While it is a destination for camping facilities with reasonable prices, it also offers places for caravans. One can find few cafeterias in addition to the showers, WC and cabin in the camping area. In addition to the beach promising a peaceful atmosphere in offseason, the Kumbaba Hill is also spectacular for its striking sea view.
