Kemikli Baba Tomb

One of many tombs in Istanbul, reflecting the moral richness from the ancient times is located in Pendik District, east of the Anatolian Side. Kemikli Baba, one of them, welcomes its visitors with centurial pine tree more than 50 metres long which is even visible from a long distance.
Located on a busy street and at the cross corner of Gülizar Zeki Obdan Elementary School, a sacred saint named Kemikli Baba lies on this tomb under the tree estimated to be standing more than 300 years.
With its rectangular plan, Kemikli Baba Tomb is surrounded with a short wall and fences, and two more nameless graves lie there.
In this region distinguished with its moral atmosphere, no architectural features is available except the broadly defined areas and fences for protection.
Indicated as one of the district's most interesting destinations with its long-standing tree, Kemikli Baba Tomb can be visited 24/7. Moreover, naive Aydın Mosque, which is within walking distance, can be seen.
