Karaköy Güllüoğlu is one of the taste stops identified with Karaköy, one of the first places that come to mind when it comes to touristic trips in Istanbul. Karaköy Güllüoğlu, which is centrally located in Karaköy, one of the neighborhoods of Beyoğlu district, is the flavor heritage of the Güllü family of Gaziantep. Their origins date back to the 1800s.
The family, which makes a living from baklava business, continues this tradition from generation to generation but within the borders of Gaziantep. Working in this way for many years, the place begins to ship dry baklava in wooden boxes to nearby cities in the 1930s. Their products have been highly admired and became more popular, and they decided to open a small baklava shop on Karaköy in 1949. It was the first baklava shop opened outside Gaziantep. In the following years, the shop moved to the Havyar Inn in Karaköy, and in the 1970s to its current location. As soon as you step into this dessert stop, which has hosted its customers in Karaköy since then, you will be fascinated with baklava varieties.
Baklava with walnuts, hazelnuts, pine nuts, carrot slices, chives, Antep doughs, and many more… There are as many milky desserts alternatives in the place where there are numerous desserts with sherbet. Besides, the selected products can be eaten sitting at the location or taken as a package.
Opened in the early hours of the morning, Karaköy Güllüoğlu is located on Rıhtım Avenue. The venue, which includes Turkish breakfast alternatives such as pastry and pates, also served products such as paste, Turkish delight, and dried nuts.
