Located on Muvakkithane Street in Cinaralti place in Emirgan of Istanbul and easily accessible from the street leading down to Beylerbeyi from Kupluce, Meydan Fountain of Abdulhamid I Khan was actually built by Abdulhamid I, who is also known as the builder of the Hamid-i Evvel Mosque.

This spectacular fountain, whose front facade is completely made of marble, consists of four engaged columns and three separate sections. This fountain, which has a tap and a sink on all three sections, was built together with a mosque and a turkish bath. It is also said that Sultan Abdulhamid got the fountain where the verses are written on its other four sides built, in order to make the souls of his brother Mehmed, who died at a young age, and his mother Humasah Kadin blessed. Therefore, the fountain is also called ''Humasah Kadin Fountain'' and ''Sehzade Mehmed Fountain''.

The construction date of the fountain, which is shown among the most magnificent and monumental artworks of Istanbul, dates back to 1782. The dome with wide eaves covering this fountain, which has eight facades and four faces in total, adds a completely different atmosphere to the work.

In addition to the baroque-style ornamental slabs on the four sides of the fountain and the sinks with seat, the other four facades are left empty. Four-line inscriptions decorate the other four facades where there are only seating stones.

The seashell reliefs on the upper part of the ornamental slabs in the Meydan Fountain of Abdulhamid I Khan, which has a dome placed on an octagonal frame, are simply magnificent.

There is a wide eave under the dome of the Meydan Fountain of Abdulhamid I Khan, which is almost dazzling with acanthus leaf in the form of a seashell and the inscription on its inside. There are also angular and fluted engaged columns in the fountain, whose four sides are narrower than the others.
