History

Fethi Paşa Grove is named after Ahmed Fethi Pasha, a notable figure of the Ottoman Empire. Built in the 19th century, the grove was neglected until the 1980s and was restored by the Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality in 2003. The restored pavilions and green spaces carry the traces of the past to the present day.

Physical and Architectural Features

The grove features pine trees, walking paths, and resting areas within its expansive grounds. Its location overlooking the Bosphorus offers visitors stunning views. Additionally, the two pavilions within the grove are notable for their architectural details from the Ottoman era.

Social Facilities and Activities

Fethi Paşa Grove hosts social facilities belonging to the Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality. These facilities offer breakfast, lunch, and dinner. Especially famous for its breakfast menu, the facilities allow you to enjoy delightful meals with a view of Istanbul. There are also opportunities for walking and jogging within the grove.

Nature and Scenery

One of the most striking features of the grove is its commanding view of the Bosphorus. Visitors can relax in a peaceful environment with bird songs while enjoying the unique scenery of the strait. During spring, when the Judas trees bloom, the grove transforms into a riot of colors.
