El-Hac Mustafa Fountain

It is possible to find historical fountains in İstanbul in almost every district. These fountains are mostly concentrated in Fatih district. One of the fountains in Fatih that has been preserved until today is the El-Hac Mustafa Fountain.
Another fountain with the same name is located in Çankırı in Turkey. These two fountains are usually confused due to the name similarity. It is the El-Hac Mustafa Fountain located in İstanbul. El-Hac Mustafa, after whom the fountain is named, is an extremely valuable person. He is still widely respected today, as he was a religious sect sheikh. While El-Hac Mustafa was alive, he had a zawiya built in the Çarşamba region. When he died, he was also buried in this zawiya. The historic El-Hac Mustafa Fountain is located on Kıztaşı Kızanlık Street. It is covered with marble and has a rounded facade.
The fountain has a very large ornamental slab. It is seen that the tank section is filled. On the other hand, its nozzle is in a broken state. You can see an inscription of four lines just above the cornice that combines the columns in marble. This original inscription is written on the surface itself.
