Ahmet Rasim Paşa Mansion on Halide Edip Adıvar Street, which is located within the borders of Beykoz famous for its mansions in Istanbul, is a unique building that greets those who come to visit the Anatolian Side with all its glory. Ahmet Rasim Pasha Mansion, which got built in the 1890s by Statesman Ahmet Rasim Pasha (1826-1897) assigned to multiple governorship duties in the last years of the Ottoman Empire, is considered as one of the most beautiful examples of the imperial style.

This historical mansion owned by one of the leading statesmen of the period named Ahmet Rasim Pasha who should not be confused with the author Ahmet Rasim, unfortunately was burned in the great fire in 1897 and was rebuilt later as a three-storey wooden structure.

Ahmet Rasim Pasha Mansion, which was sold to the municipality by the family of Ahmet Rasim Pasha in 1915, was used as a school until 1970. The ground floor is completely made of stone; and there are triangular pediments on the exterior of the mansion, where the upper two floors are wooden.

Ahmet Rasim Paşa Mansion lost all its architectural plan and originality when it was converted into a hotel after serving as a school until the 1970s. Behçet Ünsal said the following about Ahmet Rasim Paşa Mansion which does not have a symmetrical plan and contains a hall, seven rooms, two sofas on the first floor and a living room, six rooms and a hall on the second floor:

‘’In this work of art, we observe a style that is completely different than the Bosphorus mansion architecture. It is the imitation of the imperial style fashion that did not last long in Europe however seen on Turkish architecture as wannabe, outdated already…’’

Finally, as a result of extensive restoration, Ahmet Rasim Pasha Mansion was brought into tourism in 2004 as a hotel known as Ajia Hotel. It can be claimed that Ajia Hotel, which provides accommodation service with a total of 16 rooms including 10 deluxe and six suites, was designed to reflect all the elegance of the 19th century.
