Planetary and Science Center

Gaziantep is an interesting city for travelers as well as for science and space enthusiasts, and one of the most visited places in this area is the Planetary and Science Center. The Planetary and Science Center is located within the 100. Century Atatürk Culture Park which is one of the city's largest green spaces. The center, which is built on a total area of 5 thousand square meters with 3,500 square meters closed-area, offers answers to almost every question of space and astronomy enthusiasts. In this axis, a specially designed hall provides a visual explanation of the movements of the planets along with all the details. The place, which has a dome shaped like a hemisphere, becomes a sort of stage for astronomical images. The Planetary and Science Center promises to embark on a journey into space, where humanity has struggled to discover the most for thousands of years, stemming from its mysterious and yet intriguing signatories. There are also workshops in the centre, which can be accessed daily from 08:00 to 17:00. In addition to this, workshops on concepts such as recycling, art and zero waste are met with intense interest by the students.
