Gaziantep Zoology and Nature Museum

The Museum of Zoology and Nature is considered an ideal option for those who want to explore the natural beauty of Gaziantep. This interesting museum, created as a result of the work of the municipality, is built on a land of about a thousand acres. The area is designed as a complex, which also has separate sections such as a Wildlife Refuge and Zoo. At the moment, this place is the largest in Turkey in its field. Even in Europe, it ranks in the top three in terms of size. It is possible to visit 325 different species of animals in Gaziantep Zoo. The Gaziantep Museum of Zoology and Nature, established inside the zoo, provides a presentation on more extinct animals. In this sense it can be said to have a fantastic and modern structure. Thanks to the museum, you can get to know a lot of animals that you really don't have a chance to see. A total of 550 species are introduced at Gaziantep Zoology and Nature Museum. These include wingmen, reptiles, mammals and marine animals. The number of animals presented as examples is 700. Animal skeletons offer significant amounts of information about animals that went extinct thousands of years ago. Here you can find both visual and written information about the first known mammal species of the earth, pelycosaurs, dimegrodons, the pioneers of dinosaurs, tigers with bristle teeth, mammoths and extinct animals. During this interesting experience, no harm is done to nature or any living thing. Animals whose lives have ended are not exhibited in the museum without the application of embalming art. It is possible to find traces of the wild world in the museum, especially on land or sea. These moments are animated with all their reality, so that visitors can feel themselves in that wilderness. Gaziantep Zoology and Nature Museum is open every day of the week until 17: 00.
