Bursa is one of the cities rich in museums in Turkey. In this context, a different cultural excursion point is located in the city, where the original concepts are included, on the borders of Osmangazi district.
Ottoman Folk Clothing and Jewelry Museum, where ethnic clothing and accessories are displayed in a historical madrasa with a history of more than 500 years in Bursa, is one of the most mystical places in the city. In the Ottoman Empire, which ruled on three continents with 20 million kilometers of vast borders from Hungary to Yemen, Morocco to the Caucasus, the clothes and jewelry used since the 1600s are presented as much as possible in a large collection.
In addition to various kinds of clothing specific to different nationalities, there are close to a thousand jewelry such as necklaces, bracelets, rings and earrings produced with different materials. In addition, equestrian teams, various weapons and many different items can also be examined within the museum. Thousands of pieces compiled by Esat Uluumay, who came from a long-established family living in Bursa for hundreds of years, are waiting for visitors at the museum, which is also supported by UNESCO.
