Bursa Government House stands out as a building that has made significant contributions to the skyline of Bursa city. The details that reveal the authentic texture of the historic building are different in the daytime and different in the evening, accompanied by special lighting in the windows and various parts.
Bursa Government House, which is located within the Cumhuriyet area of Bursa, continues to exist as a structure serving the public area today in all its glory. Although the records do not mention who it was built by, it is known to carry the signature of master architect Ekrem Hayri Ayverdi.
Bursa Government House has 28 rooms, two floors and one hall. However, when its historical identity is examined, it is known that this beautiful place, which is seen to have gone up to the first quarter of the 19th century, was first built for people who undertook important duties in the Ottoman army, and then turned into a fabric factory.
The structure began serving as a school in 1847, most recently becoming the governor's building in 1998, and has been in active use since then. The Bursa Government House is one of the most prominent historical values in this city.
