Ziraat Bank Museum

The museum, which is located within the headquarters of Ziraat Bank in Ankara-Ulus, is the first ‘banking’ Museum in Turkey. Ziraat Bank Museum, where many valuable items, documents and antique objects related to the long-established organization's past are exhibited, is a journey in history. The historical texture of the atmosphere is also noteworthy in the museum, which became operational in 1981. Among the works exhibited in 1863, the town of the chest, dated, historical general journal, buying and selling gold trading registries, watchman clocks, various machines, very old calculators, office supplies, phones, scales, numerous sign stands out with the bank. Bank seals, savings account wallet samples, cheques, various documents related to accounting, medallions presented to Ziraat Bank, patents and coins from various periods can also be seen during the visit to the museum. The Ziraat Bank Museum, which is a private museum, attracts attention with its historical objects in general, but valuable examples of Turkish painting on its walls can also be examined closely. ‘Harvest' dated 1928 and ‘Ghazi Mustafa Kemal among the farmers’ dated 1929 are among the must-see paintings in the collection.
