30.05.2024 13:02
The very plain-looking building, where the Museum of Foundation Works is located, was built in the early years of the Republic. The building, which was used for educational purposes from 1928 to 1941, was restored in 2007 and converted into a museum and began serving.
The museum has a rich collection of wooden works dating to the 13th and 14th centuries and manuscripts from the 16th century Ottoman period. In addition, materials such as the museum tiles, carpets, rugs, wood and leather items are a must-see in the museum.
The Museum of Foundation Works, which houses a rich historical collection of rare pieces, also hosts periodical exhibitions. Modern and traditional works are displayed in the exhibitions, especially in Ankara.
The museum is closed on Monday and public holidays and can be visited for free from 09:00 to 17:00 on other days.
