Turkish Grand National Assembly II. The building is located in the Ulus district of Ankara. The building, also known as the Republic Museum, is the second parliament building of the Republic of Turkey. Parliament I. The second building, which was started to be used on October 18, 1924, was used by the members of the council until 1960. The wide eaves, tile panels and arches seen especially in the windows of the building, which was built as two floors on a cut stone and basement floor; They are the inspirations of the hand-drawn ornaments that are frequently used in Seljuk and Ottoman architectures.

Opened to the public as the Republic Museum on October 30, 1981, the Grand National Assembly of Turkey II. Its building is designed directly as the council house rather than the first council house. An international competition is organized for the project of the building, the construction of which was decided during the era of Gazi Mustafa Kemal Atatürk. Because, in line with the Decision of the Presidential Council of 4 December 1936 and the decisions taken in the Law No. 3090 on 11 January 1937, it was stipulated that the new parliament building should be a monument worthy of the Republic of Turkey.

The juries of the competition are composed of internationally renowned architects. These names in the jury; Dutch M. Lip, Swedish I. Tengbom and Englishman H. Robertson. 14 projects participate in the competition. Members of the jury carry all three projects to the first place. Among these three projects designed according to the neoclassical style, the final decision is made on the project of Professor Doctor Clemens Holzmeister, whom Gazi Mustafa Kemal Atatürk liked as well.

The Republic of Turkey II, which is shown among the landmarks of Ankara today. Its building operates as the Museum of the Republic and every year it responds to the curious visits of many local and foreign tourists with its eye-catching beauty.
