The museum, named after Rahmi Mustafa Koç, Honorary Chairman of the Board of Directors of Koç Holding, one of Turkey's most prominent industrialists and businessmen, is located in the Altindag District of Ankara.
Rahmi M., known for his works exhibited in the courtyard and interior of the historical caravanserai built in 1552, known as Chengel Khan, opposite Ankara Castle, Koç Museum welcomes visitors from all over Turkey since its restoration was completed in 2005.
In the Rahmi M. Koç Museum, which is the second museum in the field of industry opened by Rahmi Koç Museum and Culture Foundation, industrial objects and tools used mainly from the second half of the 1800s to the late 1900s are exhibited. With the concept of ‘mirror of industrial heritage’ featuring interesting examples of the history of sea, land and air transport, the museum has many ‘firsts’ such as the first typewriter and the first television.
In the Rahmi M. Koç Museum, which offers a colorful atmosphere with works that can attract visitors of all ages Koç's father, who was born in Ankara in 1901, and the founder of Koç Holding, Vehbi Koç, has a very special place between the shop and the vehicles, and the UTSD tractor model produced by Moline Turk of Minneapolis is among the must-see.
