Maliköy Railway Station Museum, one of the museums of Ankara attracting many visitors, is located in Polatlı District. This station has a very important place in recent Turkish history. It bears witness to the Pitched Battle of Sakarya, one of the most critical battles of the resistance years. During the war, this place was used as a base in a sense.
Located on the Ankara-Eskişehir railway line, the station is used as the site of the first treatment of soldiers wounded in battle. From this point of view, Maliköy Railway Station is considered as both infirmary and logistics center. According to written sources, there is information that this place is used as a military airstrip. The station is converted to a museum form years later. The monument commemorating 5713 martyrs is the most interesting part of this place. On the other hand, a civilian dressed monument belonging to Atatürk, a locomotive used actively during the Battle of Sakarya Square, and a large German-made wagon form valuable parts of the museum. Here you can also examine the two fighter aircraft that were designed to match the original structure of the aircraft of that period.
You will be accompanied by the sounds of planes and trains in the background as you travel through the part reserved for planes and trains. The museum largely aims to convey the atmosphere of war with various sculptures or visual materials. Railway materials favored during the war period are the focal point of the museum. The station building, which has been considered as a museum since 1964, is navigable between 09:00 in the morning and 17:00 in the evening. It is possible to visit the museum free of charge, except on public holidays and weekends.

Müze, 2008 yılında Ulaştırma Bakanlığı, TCDD İşletmesi Genel Müdürlüğü ve Genelkurmay Başkanlığı'nın iş birliği ile açılmıştır. Malıköy Tren İstasyonu'nun Kurtuluş Savaşı döneminde önemli bir rolü vardır.
