Atatürk Residence and Railway Museum

Atatürk Residence and Railway Museum is known as in the past name ‘Steering Building’ This building was built by the Germans in 1890 during the construction of the railway. It is also used as the headquarters of the commander-in-chief. In the last period of 1964, this historic building was converted into a museum in memory of Atatürk. The subdivision of the building is designed as a Museum of Railways and is opened to visitors quickly during the same period. Various telephone or telegraph devices used especially in the field of communication during the Ottoman period are among the most interesting works of this place.
