Summer is still a long way off, but we are sure that the number of people dreaming of a nice holiday is quite high. Those who want to spend the hot summer days with the constantly warm wind and enjoy the cool sea, raise your hand! We have created our route. Our destination is Alaçatı…

This cute Izmir town is a small holiday spot connected to Çeşme. It is quite famous for its constantly warm wind and lively sea. Moreover, when you look at its houses, we can say that it is one of the rare spots that has never lost its old texture. We have prepared our list of places to visit in Alaçatı. All you have to do is plan a nice holiday, explore this unique route and enjoy your holiday.

Alaçatı Streets Are Full of Surprises!

When we say Alaçatı streets, of course we are not talking about ordinary streets. First of all, Hacımemiş Neighborhood is an important spot that should be included in your Çeşme Alaçatı places to visit list. The stone houses along the street, the colorful bougainvilleas decorating the houses, the stone restaurants, cafes and boutique stores, all reveal everything in front of you at once. While slowly walking the streets, be sure to stop by Alaçatı Kemalpaşa Street. We can say that Kemalpaşa is the center of Alaçatı. This street is also an ideal spot to choose for shopping, restaurants and entertainment venues. Every step of this small coastal town is like a special painting by a painter. It brings you everything you want at once.

Let the Journey to Alaçatı Beaches Begin!

The most important factor in wanting to go on holiday in the summer season is the beaches and Alaçatı is one of the most ideal areas of İzmir Çeşme in this regard. If you wish, you can evaluate the paid or free beaches and leave the tiredness and stress of the whole year in the cool waters. Alaçatı Çark Beach and Delikli Bay are among the most preferred beaches in the region. The beach located in the south of Çeşme is beautiful enough to relax your soul with its magnificent bay view. Ilıca Public Beach is another alternative where you can both enter for free and relax in the cool waters. The sea is quite shallow here and therefore it is one of the first choices of families with children. This spot is called Ilıca because the hot water sources warm the sea water. There are many more beaches to list. Alaçatı Public Beach, Piyade Bay, Cleopatra Bay Beach, Boyalık Beach are the main spots you can list. Although the beaches get crowded with the arrival of summer, you can be sure that they are not overwhelming.

Note: If you enjoy surfing, it is time to get the wind behind you because various water sports can be done on Alaçatı beaches. The biggest reason for this is that the region is constantly exposed to the wind. If you wish, you can get training from various surf schools or rent equipment and take the sea under your feet.

A Bit of History: Alaçatı Pazaryeri Mosque

Don't be fooled by the fact that Alaçatı is only famous for its nature. In fact, this popular holiday town deserves to be remembered for its historical areas and structures. When creating your list of places to visit in Alaçatı, be sure to add Alaçatı Pazaryeri Mosque to your list. This historical structure, dating back to the 19th century, was built in 1874 and is a Greek church where rubble stone technique was used. Today, it continues its existence as a mosque. In fact, it would be wrong to call it only a mosque. It is possible to see frescoes built during the church period in a part of the mosque, which is separated by a curtain. Pazaryeri Mosque, which is a symbol of interfaith tolerance, deserves a nice visit in our opinion.

Alaçatı Windmills

Alaçatı windmills, which make a good contribution to tourism, attract great attention from local and foreign tourists every year with their deep-rooted history. Only a few of the windmills, which offer a view that takes romanticism to its peak, especially with the sunset, have survived to the present day. Some of the windmills, which were first used to grind wheat, continue to serve as restaurants and cafes.

Although there are many points to list about places to visit in Alaçatı, we will end our article here. If there are places we don't know about, don't forget to let us know. We wish you a very enjoyable and unforgettable summer vacation.
