Hayat El Harrani, whose real name is Sheikh Yahya Hayat b.Abdulaziz, was born in Harran. It is said that he was an important personality visited by the sultans during his lifetime. Important rulers who visited him were names such as Selahattin Eyyubi and Nureddin Mahmud Zengi. According to sources, Sheikh Hayat is seen as a smiling, generous person who likes to pray at night. After his death, he was buried next to his mosque and 10 years later, a tomb was built and moved there. His tomb is located outside the city walls of Harran and the well next to it is the tomb of Hz. It is known as Jacob's Well.

It is said that Sheikh Hayat went to pray for rain with his congregation on dry days and never returned empty-handed. For this reason, it is known that the local people pray on the occasion of his name on days without rain in the city.
