Members of the Hamidi family lie in the Sheikh Hamit Tombs located in the east of Mardin. Born in Siirt in the 19th century, Sheikh Hamid spent the last years of his life in Mardin. Known as the “Shah-i Mardin” because he lived in Mardin for a long period of forty years, this person’s father was Seyyid Abdullah, the imam of the Siirt Ulu Mosque. It is said that his lineage goes back to Hz. Muhammad. According to what is known, the construction of the tomb began in 1880. This structure is a group of tombs and contains four separate tombs and a mosque. The tombs, made of rubble stone, have a land plan and are covered with squinched domes.

Buram buram tarih kokuyor. Dış Mimari olarak Ayasofya camii gibi ayaklı kolonlarla desteklenmiş. Yıllara meydan okuyan bu camii biraz daha bakımlı olabilirdi.
