The Provincial General Assembly Building, one of the most beautiful structures of Kars, which has been transformed into a state building from an old church, is also one of the landmarks of the city.
On the streets of Kars, resembling Hollywood movie sets, a camera will always be appear from a corner and it gives you the impression that it will include you in the film. Of course, the main reason for this situation is that it is the shaping of the 19th century Russia of the city in Baltic architectural style.
In the late 1800s, the Russians built numerous churches, theater halls, teachers' houses and headquarters buildings in Kars. These structures, usually one or two storeys, rarely come across as three floors.
