Konak Square

Konak Square, which is considered as one of the three most important squares in Izmir, is one of the central destinations of the city. The Izmir Clock Tower also houses many of the city's symbolized structures, such as The First Bullet Monument. Izmir Metropolitan Municipality building is also located in Konak Square. The spacious Konak Square, officially called Atatürk Square, is a kind of meeting point for city dwellers and tourists. Due to its central location, it is also home to particularly recent history.
