This is an old place of worship that is reached by stairs from Havuzbaşı Park and is made entirely of wood…
This structure, which was last restored by the Çizmeci family in 1985, is surrounded by lush green trees that give peace to the soul. Although it is not known exactly who built it, it is estimated that the work has survived from the 19th century. Reflecting the beauty of simplicity, Şeyh Nevruz Mosque is also located in one of the special corners of the district full of mansions.
Although the mosque is quite small compared to normal mosques, it has enough space for both women and men to pray. In addition, the mosque used to be used as a lodge and it is known that Mehmet Akif Ersoy, the writer of the National Anthem, prayed here. You can see that there is also an orphanage right next to Şeyh Nevruz Mosque. And even on certain evenings, beautiful evenings are organized where the mosque congregation gives food to the children here.
