The Pink Mansion is in Sarıyer, one of the districts of Istanbul. This mansion has an interesting story. Emirgüneoğlu Yusuf Han, the commander of the Revan Castle, which was conquered during the Ottoman Empire's expedition towards Iran in 1635, is forgiven and allowed to live in the Emirgan Grove. After staying in the Pink Mansion he built for many years, the building is expropriated and used as a residence by the Egyptian Governor. After continuing to be used by the family of the Egyptian Governor, it was finally expropriated by the Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality in 1940.
The mansion serves as a cafe-restaurant today. Especially in Istanbul, it is among the popular spots to go for breakfast on weekends. It also hosts events like weddings. Prices, according to the general opinion, are modest.
It draws attention with its color that can be defined as geranium pink. It is a wooden mansion. It has three doors. It has a kitchen and a public bathroom on the first floor and its living room and many other rooms on the second floor. While the outdoor area attracts great attention during summer, it generally only serves indoors in winter.
