Cevri Kalfa Fountain

Cevri Kalfa Fountain, also known as Cevri Usta Fountain and Sebili, is located under Cevri Kalfa School located on Divan Yolu Avenue. Although the fountain of the fountain is completely covered with marble, its boat has unfortunately disappeared. The inscription of the fountain, which is under a round and decorated arch, is located on the upper part of the arch. The historical couplet is as follows:

"With its history, honor made the invitation"

"Merhume the inner spirit of the master"

II. It is admirable that the Cevri Kalfa Fountain, which Mahmud had built on behalf of Cevri Kalfa in order to show his gratitude, reached it without any changes, although it does not flow today. Cevri Kalfa, who was the Treasurer of the Harem - i Hümayun of the period, II. On the day when Mahmud came to the throne, he saved him from those who wanted to kill him.

A series of windows next to the fountain features cast-iron grids. In addition, Cevri Kalfa Fountain, which has four small windows, can be listed among the historical fountains that are best preserved according to today's conditions.
