Tortum Lake

Tortum Lake, a truly natural wonder, was formed in the 1700s by a landslide that descended from Kemerli Mountain. This unique beauty, which consists of a narrow and steep valley, is spread over an area of 8 kilometers with its bowl appearance. Tortum Lake, located in Erzurum Uzundere, is located on an area of 8 thousand 761 hectares. The lake, which has the status of 'NationalLy Important Wetland', is also located within the first-degree site. Although agriculture and livestock are made around the lake, guests can visit bird watching, angling, flora tourism, water sports and trout consumption farm. Since the area is located on the migratory routes of the bird of prey, it is possible to see the types of vultures in the region! Keep in mind that you are likely to see at least one of the little vultures, red vultures and black vultures during your walk.
