Murat Pasha Bath

One of the classic examples of Ottoman bath architecture, the bath house is located in Murat Pasha neighborhood in Erzincan Kapi district.
There is no inscription on the history of Murat Pasha Hamam, but it is thought that it was built in the same years as Murat Pasha Mosque on the southern side. The building was restored by the General Directorate of Foundations in 1996 and it is accepted that it was built by Kuyucu Murat Pasha in the second half of the 16th century.
Murat Pasha Bath, which consists of four different sections, these are; Warmness, warmth, dressing and boiler room sections. The building entered by passing through,likely an iwan, a flattened arch in the middle of the entrance west façade, and the architectural difference with the vaulted spaces added afterwards.
Murat Pasha Bath, which owes its solid standing to its steady base as well as its original restoration work, was finally repaired by the General Directorate of Foundations in 1996.
Murat Pasha Hamam, one of the best known in Erzurum city of baths reflecting the ottoman cleanliness as well as the philosophy of purifying spirit with water, opens its doors to thousands of local and foreign tourists every year.
