Erzurum in the east of Turkey continues to contain hundreds of works it has carried to the present day, embracing many cultures and civilizations for centuries. This distinguished city, which can reflect thousands of years of history even with its relic works, takes an exemplary stance on world societies with its polyphony. Dervis Aga Mosque, one of the religious structures that attracts attention with its elegant minaret and simplicity of Erzurum, is home to worship and visitors in Yakutiye district of Erzurum. The mosque, which was first made over by Haji Dervis Ibrahim Aga in 1717 for the worship of the people, was repaired and opened to worship by Müderris Haji Mustak in 1845 after being damaged. Dervish Aga Mosque has since fascinated everyone who passes trough the road with its mystical and elegant face. The mosque, which has a square plan, is located in the single-domed mosque class. It amazes those who see it with its columns, decorations and fine craftsmanship. The altar of the historic building with the inscription of repairs pointing to the date of 1845 on the entrance gate is made of stone and minberi a wood. The mosque, which is also home to the Tomb of Dervis Aga in its courtyard, is among structures must be seen in Erzurum.
