It would not be wrong to say the land of fountains for Erzurum. Fountains, one of the common examples of water architecture, have been made in many places in the focus of providing hygiene and needs within the scope of the city's zoning activities.
As a result of the importance given to water structures, fountains have an important place among the heritage left by the Ottoman Empire in Erzurum. In this context, one of the prominent fountains in the city is the Hollow Fountain, which was made at the beginning of the 20th century.
The fountain, which was built as a block in the wall, is quite different from its first state as a result of the damages and accompanying repairs that have been going on for about a century. The fountain has a small slot that has been opened for the placement of the water cup and has a single lullaby where the groundwater flows. The lule can be summarized as a stone or metal fountain-shaped object, usually when the water comes out.
The width of Hollow Fountain, which has a height of about 1 and a half meters, wide about 1 meter and 30 centimeters. This history-heirloom fountain, which is small but has a great service of its own, cools with its running water even decades later.
